The dream of being totally self sufficient and living off the fat of the land is unrealistic at best but we can at the very least grow some of our own fruit and vegetables. How much you can grow is determined by how big your garden is but with some creativity, you can get very generous results. Several years ago, folks typically grew their own produce. But today, most people simply drive over to the local supermarket and get anything they desire. However, there exists a rising fascination with growing ones own fruit and vegetables so we will look at the benefits of doing it yourself.
